Aluminum hydroxide, also known as alumina trihydrate, is a naturally occurring compound with the chemical formula Al(OH)3. It is primarily produced from bauxite ore through the Bayer process or as a byproduct of aluminum production.

It is non-toxic, tasteless, smoke-free, flame-retardant and has unique optics character (refractive index is 1.57).
